When I heard of the project, I felt compelled to participate, although I never had the pleasure of working with Rittmo. Reading these lyrics, I realised that they’re perfect for my style, and also take me out of my comfort zone a little. With regard to instrumentation, I played guitar and sang, as I most often do.

This Ain’t Working Anymore
Rittmo
In the flatlands you can see a snowstorm coming
From miles away, watch it spread across the plains
Your world a picture window, everything in full view
No surprises, no dark clouds hanging over lover's lane
So tell me is it the shadows from the hills
The resounding echoes from the vallay's low
That guided your thoughts this frightful morning
When you plainly said, I think it's time you go
This ain't working anymore
The same old just ain't cutting it
The fat lady knows the score
She's no longer strutting it
Over my shoulder I tossed some salt
Laughing at my open wound
One of these days I 'll remember good times
But for now I'll sadly croon
My baby done left me
Got bored with my act
My baby done left me
And that's a fact
This ain't working anymore
The same old just ain't cutting it
The fat lady knows the score
She's no longer strutting it
I can't get used to not seeing her
but there's not enough glass cleaner...
